Home-hosted in a local community

  • Cassava harvest

Cassava is a tuber known for its roots with starches of high food value. In this activity, you will be able to visit the agricultural area of a community and learn about the harvest of this great food, widely known in the region.

  • Peruvian food preparation on board / or Peruvian cocktail: pisco sour

The cruise chef will determine the dish to prepare. Whether ceviche, juane or patarashca, you will enjoy a typical dish of the Peruvian tradition. Along with this, a cooking class will be offered. All this will take place in the ship’s inner lounge.

  • Liberation of Taricayas in the Pacaya Samiria Reserve.

This activity, which takes place only during low-water season, allows taricaya turtles to be released in the Pacaya Samiria Reserve, one of the main tourist destinations in the Peruvian Amazon. The recovery of the taricaya turtles began four decades ago, allowing the conservation of the species.

The multicultural wealth of the Amazon makes it an ideal destination for experiential tourism. Traditions and customs of ancestral roots are enriched with a cultural mixture that is preserved by its inhabitants with love and devotion.
