Jungle Experiences Amazon Cruises is proud to announce its partnership with Amazon Forever to elevate the innovative environmental education program ‘Método Huayo’. This collaboration aims to connect children of the Peruvian Amazon with their natural surroundings through stories, art, and games, fostering a lasting love for the region.
On Wednesday, July 10, the signing of this partnership was finalized, marking a milestone in the commitment of both organizations to education and environmental preservation.
“We are thrilled to start this partnership with Amazon Forever and to launch Método Huayo,” said Claudia Rodriguez, CEO of Jungle Experiences. “One of the most important aspects of this collaboration is the creation of the first Environmental Education Classroom in Peru, which will be located in the white sand forest. This natural space will be dedicated to the educational and recreational activities of the program, providing children with an inspiring environment in full harmony with nature. As a company born in the Amazon, we are committed to fostering a lasting connection of children with their natural surroundings, thereby improving their reading comprehension and preparing them for the future.
The program includes the free distribution of educational storybooks to children in remote communities in the Loreto region, there by enhancing reading comprehension and environmental awareness.
Since 2019, Jungle Experiences has been an active collaborator with Amazon Forever, participating in various conservation and education projects. One of these projects is the educational aquarium of the paiche, a native Amazonian fish that is essential to produce food and local crafts.
This partnership demonstrates that responsible tourism becomes an important ally for the conservation of our ecosystems.
