Helping to Protect the Amazon Rainforest with a Sustainable Travel

Over the years, we have actively contributed to strengthening sustainable tourism in the region. This has translated into working closely with local communities, providing them with resources to improve their quality of life, and teaching them how to conserve their environment.

Supporting the Manatee Rescue Center

We support the Manatee Rescue Center (CREA) in Iquitos, which rehabilitates orphaned Amazonian manatees. We are active collaborators with Amazon Forever, an organization dedicated to preserving flora and fauna and educating young generations about responsible practices in sustainable tourism.

A Sustainable Travel for a Quieter Amazon

Our excursion boats are carefully designed for the care of the environment. It is strictly forbidden to disturb wildlife during excursions.

Economic Empowerment of Local Communities

Our handicraft suppliers are local residents of the region, and their products are displayed on all our vessels to support the local economy. 80% of our employees come from the community of Iquitos and the surrounding areas.

Recycling

In an effort to eliminate the use of plastics, we provide all passengers with a reusable metal water bottle. Onboard our boats, we carefully separate waste for recycling (plastics, organic waste, cardboard, paper, batteries).

Eco-friendly Waste Treatment and Products

Our cruises feature a wastewater treatment system, ensuring all waste is treated using an intelligent sanitation system and PETARD storage tanks that meet IMO and U.S. Coast Guard standards, resulting in 100% clean and sterile water that can be safely discharged into the rivers.

Remaining waste is collected during the journey and delivered upon disembarkation for recycling or responsible disposal. Onboard our cruises, we only use biodegradable and non-toxic cleaning products from the sustainable brand ECOLAB.

Conservation of Water and Energy

We invite all passengers to change their towels only when necessary and to reduce energy consumption on board the vessels.
