Culture: the most beautiful fruit of human beings. More than 40 native languages are used today in the Amazonian rainforest of Peru. These indigenous languages that remind us how immense mankind can become. More than 40 languages that speak of different cultures, and ways of life that are foreign to us; demonstrating that we live in a world full of people capable of creating wonderful things.

• The Amazon changes its name along its route (Lloqueta, Apurímac, Ene, Tambo, Ucayali) and it is only from the confluence between the Ucayali river and the Marañón that it carries the name, Amazonas.
• 56% of the world’s tropical forests are located in or near the Amazon basin.
• Francisco de Orellana was the discoverer of the Amazon in 1542, being the first to reach its mouth. He baptized it as ´The Amazon´.
