From June to November, rain has decreased in the jungle and the average temperature is around 98 °F (37 °C). During this season, it will be possible to take long walks and experience fun activities such as piranha fishing. Moreover, our guests will have the opportunity to explore the depths of the rainforest from an intimate view of its wildlife and the entire ecosystem.
Our visitors will begin this amazing trip upon their arrival in Iquitos, where they will enjoy a delicious lunch at the DoubleTree by Hilton Iquitos hotel. Afterwards, they will take a private transfer to the city of Nauta to embark and start the journey to the depths of the Amazon jungle.
The second day will begin with a hike in Yucuruchi, located in the Ucayali River area, in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, where you can watch numerous species of native animals. An unforgettable experience for nature lovers!
Afterwards, there will be a cooking demonstration by the executive chef, onboard the cruise. After lunch and during the afternoon, you can practice kayaking and swim in the river, or go on an outing on our skiffs to Lake Bagazán.
Finally, our visitors venture to a night exploration touring the Ucayali River in search of alligators, lizards and other animal night species, a perfect closure for a day full of adventures.
On the third day, they will set off by skiff to explore the black-water Yarapa River, where the famous pink and gray freshwater dolphins might be sighted. These are some of the friendliest, social and curious animal species of Amazonian nature.
Next, our visitors will visit the town of Vista Alegre and its community, where they will learn about their customs and traditions, always accompanied by our guides, who will also act as interpreters.
As a perfect wrap up for the day, they will board the skiffs once again and sail along the Amazon River as they enjoy the light and colors offered by the majestic sunset.
On their way to the airport, our happy travelers will enjoy a visit to the Amazon Rescue Center (CREA), where biologists and volunteers take care of manatees, a threatened animal river species that authorities have rescued. Finally, they will be transferred to the airport and board their flight back to Lima.
